Hearts in Harmony Music Studio: Building Virtue and Skill Through the Suzuki Method
At Hearts in Harmony Music Studio, we follow Dr. Shinichi Suzuki’s belief that “first we foster the heart, then help the child acquire ability.” Rooted in the Suzuki “mother-tongue” approach, our program nurtures students in a loving environment where they learn music as naturally as they learned to speak—by hearing, imitating, and eventually reading. We cultivate beautiful hearts through the study of beautiful music, strong relationships among parent, teacher, and peers, and the development of character through the study of virtues. As children refine their musical skills through repetition and review, they also learn cooperation, empathy, and service, growing in both ability and heart as they share beauty with the world.
